Bobby J. Scarberry, 80, of Oklahoma City entered his Heavenly Home Thursday, December 13, 2018.
He was born in Hobart, OK to the late Walter Scarberry and Marguerite (Dawson) Scarberry.
Bobby met his future wife, Wilma Louise Luker, at Sunshine Mission Church in Oklahoma City, and they married June 15, 1956. Bobby worked for the Moore Public Schools for 10 years, Alex Rogers Meat Processing for 20 years, and Bob's Striper Guide Service for 28 years. Bobby enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, hunting, playing guitar, and playing golf. What made Bobby and Wilma smile was their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially celebrating Christmas.
In addition to his parents, Walter and Marguerite Scarberry, Bobby was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Louise Scarberry, brother-in-law J.D. Dodge, Father-in-law Jack Luker, and Mother-in-law Ruby Patrick. He was also preceded by his sister Betty Sue Fox, Sister-In-Law Lois Frair, and Brother-in-Law Bobby Frair.
Surviving are his sons Gary Scarberry and wife Debby of Oklahoma City and Terry Scarberry and wife Cindy of Moore; grandchildren, Randy Wilson and wife Erin of Arcadia, Josh Wilson and wife Ashley of Edmond, OK, Kelcie Lee and husband Zachary of Edmond, and Tara Scarberry of Moore, OK; great-grandchildren Kristen, Audrey, Cooper, Reed, Cade and Beckett, with a great-granddaughter, Emelia Ann, to arrive soon; sisters Carolyn Jane Ledbetter of Pauls Valley, and Linda Kaye Gates and husband Lloyd of Blanchard; brothers Aaron Scarberry and wife Linda of Prague, George Scarberry and wife Roseanna of Moore, John Scarberry and wife Attavell of Newcastle, Larry Scarberry of Moore, and Jerry Scarberry of Oklahoma City; Sister-in-Law Betty Dodge; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 16th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 P.M. at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK.
Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 18th at 10:00 AM at Regency Park Baptist Church, 2001 N. Janeway Avenue, Moore, OK 73160 with Pastor Keith Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Moore City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made directly to Regency Park Baptist Church, 2001 N. Janeway Avenue, Moore, OK 73160 in memory of Bobby and Louise.
