David H. Proctor "Bud"

David H. Proctor “Bud” passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 82.


He was born on February 14, 1936 in Ponca City, OK. He was the son of David B. and Ruby Proctor.


He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1954. He married Lula Jean Cleaver in February 1955. That same year, Bud started his career as a Ford Parts Salesman at Hutchinson Ford in Ponca City. They had three children, David, Cathy, and Dennis. Bud and Lou moved the family to South Oklahoma City in 1965, where he continued his career with Dub Richardson Ford. He retired in 2006 after 51 years in Ford parts. In retirement he enjoyed watching the grandchildren participate in various sports and activities. He also enjoyed going to garage sales, where he was always looking for a “good deal.” He had numerous collections and enjoyed researching and documenting his family genealogy.


He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan and her husband Lyle Clark, and brother Buster Revels.


He is survived by his wife, Lou; son, David Proctor and his wife Cheryl; daughter, Cathy Hahn and her husband Perry; son, Dennis Proctor and his wife Pam; brother, Danny Proctor and his wife Ellen; sister, Reba Burnett and her husband Perry; six grandchildren, April Watson, Austin and his wife Kendi Proctor, Darren Hahn, Cara Fink and her husband Richard, Cami Sheaffer and her husband Doc, and Cory Proctor; ten great-grandchildren, Victoria Watson, Si Proctor, Parker Hahn, Preston Hahn, Payton Hahn, Porter Hahn, Avie Fink, Blair Fink, Trip Sheaffer, and Shaylee Sheaffer.


Celebration of Life reception will be held Sunday, January 13th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK 73160.
