December 31, 1943 ~ August 1, 2020 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Tribute

On Saturday, August 1, 2020, Donald Eugene Gannon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away at the age of 76.

He was born New Year’s Eve 1943, along with his twin sister, Dora Janice, in Ada Oklahoma. After finishing high school at Ada High, Donald proudly served in the Army for twenty-one years. He served in Vietnam and while stationed in Korea, met the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Mu Cha. They raised four children, Donald Jr., Kathy, Virginia, and Scotty.

Donald loved to travel, particularly sight seeing road trips across the United States. He loved old western movies and always had a cup of coffee in his hand. He was known for his sense of humor and big infectious laugh. Breakfast with his family, telling stories, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were some of the things Donald enjoyed the most in life. He loved leisurely days sitting in his recliner with his sweet pet, Cheba. He adored his wife and doted on her regularly. He took special pride in being a “Dad” to his children and “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Albert: his mother, Orpha Mae; and his beautiful granddaughter, Terah Rose. He is survived by his wife, Mu Cha; his four children, Don Jr, Kathy, Virginia, and Scotty; his sister, Billie; his brother, Stanley; his twin sister, Dora Janice; numerous nieces and nephews, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6th at Moore Funeral and Cremation at 11 am.

*Due to restrictions set forth by the Governor and complying with the guidelines of the CDC, service will be limited to 50 people. *
