Eric Hobbs

Eric Wayne Hobbs was born on February 14, 1981, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to David and Darla Hobbs. He peacefully passed away on March 16, 2020.

Eric is survived by his parents, David and Darla Hobbs; sisters, Amanda and Jeff Ames, Nicole and Michael Casey, and Shelby Hobbs; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Jonathan, Mary, Luke, Hope, Haven, Silas, Elise, and Jamie; along with his grandfather, Wayne Hobbs of Mena, Arkansas; aunts, Debbie and Tim Logan, Evelyn and David Donica, LouAnn and Ken Fox, Charlene and Bill Morgan; and numerous cousins.

Eric is preceded in death by grandparents, Mildred and Bud Voss; grandmother, Mary Hobbs; and his beloved pet, Ryder.

Eric was a graduate of Del City High School, class of 1999. He attended the University of Oklahoma for meteorology. Eric worked for Mazzio’s Corporation where he was restaurant manager, and obtained many awards for his hard work and dedication.

Eric was baptized at Bodine Baptist Church as a young man. Some of Eric’s favorite things in life were singing/performing, with karaoke and darts as hobbies. He enjoyed strolling through Will Rogers Park as well. Eric had a passion for Oklahoma wild weather and loved the idea of storm chasing, with Christmas being his favorite holiday. He had an infectious smile and loved making people laugh.

Due to the rising concerns of the coronavirus, family has requested a private funeral service. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
