Jim Doyle

James “Jim” T. Doyle, loving husband, father, and Pa-Pa, left this life on December 29, 2018 at the age of 76 in Moore, OK. He was born in El Reno, OK on October 28, 1942 to Robert and Alice Doyle.
Jim grew up in El Reno and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. He married the love of his life, Carolyn White, on April 9, 1981 in Oklahoma City. They met while working together at AT&T, where Jim retired after 35 years.
Jim and Carolyn lived in Oklahoma City for several years before making Lake Eufaula their home for the next 25 years. They had recently moved to Moore in 2016 and enjoyed being closer to their children and grandchildren.
Jim’s hobbies included boating, fishing, and going to garage sales. He also loved hotrods and collected trains. His most favorite hobby was partying in the garage with all of his rowdy friends!
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Doyle and Alice Marie Doyle (Lorenzen).
Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife of 37 years, Carolyn Doyle; daughters, Kelle Claxton and husband Bud of McLoud, Shelle Minor and husband Larry of Newalla, Dayna Hardin and husband Bill of Tuttle, and Cheryl Steinmetz and husband Chris of Moore; son, Keith White of Moore; granddaughters, Misty Avery-Davis, Stephanie Roe, Lyndsie Dallas, Heather Steinmetz, Lauren Schanafelt, Jennifer Minor, Lindsey Steinmetz, Jessie Hardin, Anita Claxton, and Ashley Claxton; grandsons, Billy Hardin, Charles Claxton, Marcus Claxton, DJ Claxton, Tyler Steinmetz, Jon Avery-Davis, Kyle Roe, Justin Dallas, Eric White, Nick White, Jason White, and Jared Beene; sisters, Donna Warren and husband Greg of Yukon, and Linda Stepp of Purcell; and 28 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
Visitation for Jim is 4:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday, January 1, 2018 at the chapel of Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th St. Moore, OK 73160. Graveside services are 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Holdenville Cemetery, 13th Ave, Holdenville, OK 74848. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
