Jewell M (Brown) Moore

Jewell M. (Brown) Moore, 90, of Moore, OK passed unexpectedly on Monday, April 29, 2019 in her residence.


She was born August 14, 1928 in Cleveland County, OK to the late Bythal Dawes Brown and Elsie (Bailey) Brown.


Jewell was a member of Southern Temple Baptist Church for 68+ years. She enjoyed sewing, where she supported her husband’s military service by placing patches on his uniforms, and sewed and mended her children’s clothing. She was wonderful wife, mother, and served her family as a homemaker.


In addition to her parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Shirley Thomas Moore, her son, Michael Eugene Moore, and her brothers, Gene, Jack, Bill, and Dennis Brown.


Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gary Moore of Moore, OK; brothers, Carol, Max, Doyle, David, and Damon Brown; sisters, Donna Davis, Darlene Vitalie, and Marilyn Engebrits; she is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.


Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK.


Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 9th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Moore Funeral and Cremation with Lane Buckley officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
