Mary Adair Jones (Kelley)
1972-2020
Mary Adair Jones (Kelley), “momma Jo”, age 47, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020, after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was born on June 7, 1972, in Oklahoma City to Buren A. Kelley, Sr. and Mary A. Kelley (Crocker). She grew up in Asher, Oklahoma with her Aunt Alice Roundtree and later moved to OKC with her father. She attended OKC Public Schools, SE High School, and later Capitol Hill High School. Mary attended the Guthrie Job Corps right after high school, where she met and married her husband, Wayne Jones, in 1993.
Mary lived life to the fullest. She loved OU football and was happiest taking care of her children, spending time with them watching wrestling, and John Cena. She enjoyed being on the lake in the summertime with her sister and brother in law, babysitting her nieces and nephews, and found great joy from her pets, Sassy and Brownie. Mary was an incredibly selfless person and would do anything for anyone that needed her help. She didn’t like anyone doting on her and she was very humble and hated asking anyone for anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buren and Mary Kelley; brothers, Bradley Ingram and Buren Kelley, Jr.
Mary is survived by her children, Dakota and Kyle Johnson of the home; daughter, Michelle Cruze of Colorado; step-children, Brandon, Jay, and Cheyenne Johnson of OKC; stepmother, Carroll Brown of Moore, Okla; sisters, Katherine Morris of OKC and husband, Johnny, Jennifer Diggs and husband, John of Moore, OK, Alicia Hertlien and husband, Terry of OKC, and Patricia Brown of Crescent, OK; brothers, Darryl Ingram of OKC, Arlin Ingram of OKC, and Eric Ingram of Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special thank you to her doctors and staff at Stephenson Cancer Center for their tireless efforts for a cure and the wonderful care that she received.
